Vientiane, September 14th, 2020 – EFG Lao’s second Texas Chicken branch is now open at Cultural Hall in Vientiane. It is now a food hub harboring three EFG brands – The Pizza Company, Swensen’s and Texas Chicken. On the soft opening, customers were able to play spin the wheel, and win up to special 20% discount as well as special combo set with free Pepsi. Another opening day promotion was buy 3 and get 3 Texas Chicken free.
Phnom Penh, September 7th, 2020 – Dairy Queen of EFG Cambodia rganized a donation of 50 hot dogs for the monks at the Kamboul pagoda to celebrate Pchum Ben festival. Representatives from DQ management Tha Sokhavortey, Head of Dairy Queen Cambodia, Mao Chhaya DQ Senior Marketing Executive and a few more DQ stores managers together visited the pagoda to distribute the delicious hot dogs. The pagoda located in Sangkat Kamboul, about 16km from downtown Phnom Penh. DQ strives to continue to support the local community.
Kampuchea Krom, August 28th, 2020 – EFG Cambodia organized a professional Sales Skills Training at Swensen’s Kampuchea Krom Branch. The training was conducted by Bros Pisey, Swensen’s Area Coach and the session was joined by 14 Swensen’s staff members. The purpose of the training was to enhance and extend the sales skills to all staff, to ensure
excellent customer experience at every level. Additionally, the training allows the staff to execute their responsibilities effectively and to customer satisfaction.
Phnom Penh, August 16, 2020 – Dairy Queen and Krispy Kreme are proud to open its second joint store at Sorya Mall. Strategically located near one of Cambodia’s Landmarks – Central Market – the store is on the ground floor of the mall.
On the launch day, customers participated to acitvities such as Spin the Wheel whereby they would unlocked chances to win certain prizes offered by the Brands. The event was also celebrated with mascot appearance of the iconic Dairy Queen curl cone where friends and family were able to pose for photos. Coupled with the excitement, the launch event included opening promotions whereby customers could choose from a buy 1 get 1 free or a joint combo set with one Dairy queen drink with one original taste of Krispy Kreme.
The team is looking forward to welcoming more customers to the exciting taste and flavours offered by Dairy Queen and Krispy Kreme. It is a key milestone for EFG Cambodia to successfully open two new franchised stores, all within one month of construction.
Phnom Penh, August 15, 2020 – Krispy Kreme participated in a “Back to School” event organized by Pingu’s English International School, to celebrate the students’ return to school. Over one hundred elementary school students joined in the fun, by decorating and eventually devouring declicious, freshly prepared doughnuts. Who says back to school can’t be fun?
Phnom Penh, August 6, 2020 – In recognition of their hard work during the Covid pandemic, EFG staff made a surprise visit to Chak Angre Health Center to deliver lunch to some of the on duty health care workers. Doctors and medical personnel are often so consumed by their work that they don’t stop for a break so the thirty pre packed lunch boxes came in handy at the right time.

Yangon, July 23rd 2020 – Starting in June, The Pizza Company marketing team of EFG Myanmar organized a picture sharing activity for staff members and customers in 10 TPC branches in Myanmar. Capturing beautiful moments and creating special memories for customers dining at TPC. Photos were taken by the branch staff using customers’ mobile phones.
Vientiane, July 23rd 2020– Construction is well underway on the second Texas Chicken outlet at the Cultural Hall Precinct in the heart of Vientiane.
The new Texas Chicken will be siding up to The Pizza Company and Swensen’s stores which are also under construction, creating a convenient one stop dining venue for all three brands.
The 170sqm store is perfectly optimized in terms of kitchen size, service and dine-in area and it faces a large 80 vehicle car park making it that much more accessible to motorists.
The three store concept will conveniently feed into EFG’s new Hungry App which makes orders from multiple brands possible thereby also significantly reducing delivery time with all collections being made at one point.
Construction began in June and the opening is scheduled for September 2020.
Mandalay, July 21st 2020 – During recent monsoon flooding, thousands of Amarapura Township residents had to be evacuated due to the fast rising waters of the Ayeyawady River.
Mandalay City Development Committee, Myanmar Fire Services Department, and community volunteers worked tirelessly in a race against time, to stem the rising water by filling the embankment with sand bags and rocks.
To support their heroic efforts, EFG Myanmar arranged for The Pizza Company staff to visit the stricken area and deliver fresh, hot pizza to the rescue workers and volunteers.
