EFG Cambodia Expands with Four New Store Openings

July 22nd, 2019 Phnom Penh – EFG made a huge splash at Olympia mall, Phnom Penh this weekend when it opened four new stores, giving customers even greater access to their favorite dining experiences. 

 

The Pizza Company, Swensen’s, Dairy Queen and Krispy Kreme are now available at the newly opened mall. Olympia mall, which launched in June, is set to draw in crowds from its surrounding areas filled with businesses, schools, hotels and condos. 

 

Each store held their own successful launch party, drawing in customers and spreading the love for food. Dairy Queen had a parade through the mall advertising the new location. Krispy Kreme held their own parade complete with balloons and banners. The Pizza Company got mall-goers excited with a pizza eating competition, and it was full-house on opening day. Swensen’s had a family fun parade and games in front of the store enjoyed by the little ones. 

EFG is thrilled to be able to service customers in a new area. Expanding at an impressive rate, this is now the 33rd The Pizza Company store in the country, Swensen’s 9th store, Dairy Queen’s 13th store and the 6th Krispy Kreme store.  As EFG continues to grow in Cambodia, location launches are set to draw in crowds with fun activities and can’t-miss promotions.

July 18th, 2019 Phnom Penh – EFG held its second two-day leadership training, First Level Leadership, at the Sunway Hotel from July 17th – 18th. 

The training was delivered to 25 store managers and was conducted by ODI Asia. They covered leadership and business management principles including effective communication skills, how to build up great teams and ways to empower others. 

Store managers left the training ready to apply what they’ve learned into their work and lives. Overall, it was a successful and motivational session for managers.

July 10th, 2019 Phnom Penh – If you add ice cream, learning and fun into an action-packed day, you end up with EFG Cambodia’s Swensen’s Sundae Pal activity! 

 

Swensen’s hosts these events with schools from around the region, bringing students into the workplace so they can see what the ice cream business is all about. This not only connects the classroom with real business experience, it also sparks creativity in children as they see the possibilities the future holds. 

 

This year, Swensen’s worked with two groups of students from Singapore International School (SIS). The first group joined the team at the Kampuchea Krom on July 2nd, and the second group went to Swensen’s Sorya Center Point branch on July 10th.

 

The kids had a blast learning about the ice cream business. Their favorite part? Learning how to make ice cream, including all ingredients used, plus decorating their ice cream. 

 

All in all, it was a fun way to connect with customers and provide the next generation of leaders with real-world business experience.

EFG Cambodia Enters Dairy Queen Top Curl Final Competition

July 10th, 2019 Bali – EFG Cambodia sent their best curl representative, Loeng Vannith, to Bali for the DQ Top Curl Final Competition. The road leading up to the awards began May 21st and included a mix of activities to test which representative could best create the iconic DQ curl that sits on top of every DQ soft serve. 

 

The top curl competition is not only a fun way to see who’s the best of the best when it comes to curl technique, it also strengthens operation standards, product quality and service.

 

Martin Darby, Managing Director of EFG Holdings and Vice President of EFG Food and Beverage Franchises joined the event, showing his support for EFG Cambodia and DQ. Loeng Vannith did an incredible job in Bali and landed in the top 10, putting EFG’s name on the map and representing the Cambodia team in the best way.
