EMCAT Myanmar Serves Orbis’ Doctors in the Sky

September 26th, 2019 – EMCAT Myanmar has been selected to supply lunch services for the international non-profit organization Orbis, known for its “Flying Eye Hospital” for two weeks in Mandalay, Myanmar starting from September 21st.

Orbis runs an ophthalmic hospital and teaching facility located on board a MD-10 aircraft. The Flying Eye Hospital brings training to doctors and nurses in developing countries with little access to professional development and training.

EMCAT Myanmar will be using its expertise to serve a world renown humanitarian project; a very fitting contract as RMA Group supports multiple non-profits and humanitarian missions.

Congratulations to operations manager Jasmine and her crew for having won the tender and participating in this beautiful adventure.

EFG Brightens up Students’ Day

September 22nd, 2019 Yangon – The Pizza Company and Swensen’s of EFG Myanmar held a ‘Share Food, Share Motivation’ CSR activity, brightening up the day of children from the Kyaik Waing Boys Training School & Disabled Care Center. The event focused on both entertainment for the kids and support for the school.

EFG made financial donations to the school, supporting the education of hundreds of children. The training school, which does incredible work for the kids, expressed their deep gratitude.

For the entertainment portion, EFG had a number of activities up their sleeve. Employees and students alike shared the joy of pizza while motivational speaker Ko Nyi Nyi invoked the crowd’s inspiration. On top of that, Han Thi, Miss World Myanmar and Sandi from The Voice Myanmar, along with Gita Mate Music Institute, joined for a singalong. Additional fun-packed games put a smile on everyone’s faces. Employees and the students all had a blast that day.

EFG is committed to supporting education and child development in Myanmar, and will be holding more CSR activities with schools across the country.

Cambodia Entrepreneurship Day Attendees Indulge in Pizza

September 21st, 2019 Phnom Penh – The Pizza Company of EFG Cambodia made sure organizers and thousands of youths that joined Cambodian Entrepreneurship Day (CED) were satiated with pizza, sponsoring the event for a 2nd year in a row.

 CED hit six cities this year – Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Battambang, Poipet, Kampong Cham, and Sihanoukville – and was organized by the International Labour Organization, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports along with Minor International’s support.

The Pizza Company offered pizza to event participants and organizers in all six cities. For many participants, this was their first chance trying our product.

 With an exciting history behind it, including a Guinness-record-breaking event for the world’s largest business seminar, CED is aims to introduce youths across Cambodia to business and entrepreneurship concepts.

 The Pizza Company looks forward to serving CED again next year. 

EMCAT Delights with Live Music at the Metro

September 19th, 2019 Phnom Penh – Every Thursday and Sunday throughout August, Miss Sarawan Acoustic Duo performed musical classics of the 1960s Cambodia at Phnom Penh Airport’s METRO.

While waiting to be transported to the city of their destination, customers were transported back in time to the Golden Era of great Cambodian musical classics. Travelers stayed, swayed and enjoyed the little break that this performance brought them.

This initiative was so well received that EMCAT will be holding it again in the future.

EMCAT Pledges to Reduce Plastic in All Airport Outlets

September 17th, 2019 Phnom Penh – EMCAT Cambodia joined hands with Cambodia Airports for a campaign aimed at reducing plastic use and signed a memorandum promising that each EMCAT outlet will engage in eco-friendlier operations.

EMCAT plans to stop providing customers with plastic bags, glasses and straws and remove all single-use plastics from onsite meals. Some outlets have already made the switch to paper straws with signs to notify customers. Other EMCAT signs highlight the harm that plastic causes.

As part of their overall strategy to become eco-friendlier, EMCAT is reviewing their outlets’ business practices in order to minimize or eliminate plastic and will provide monthly statistics on waste categories and quantities. 

EMCAT is fully committed to reducing plastics with a special focus on single-use plastics.

Smiles and Sweats: The Pizza Company Holds Zumba Day

September 2nd, 2019 Yangon – The Pizza Company celebrated their new delivery channel launch with students of Pan Sagar & Windsor private school in Mandalay with an action-packed day full of sports and fun. The event was also a great opportunity to promote The Pizza Company name and connect with schools around Myanmar.

TPC gathered over 350 students and participants to promote the joy of physical activity with an open air Zumba class. Following some good earned sweats, and with smiles from ear to ear, The Pizza Company handed out delivery magnets with a discount coupon to each student.

TPC delivery was introduced to Myanmar in 2014 and is increasingly popular year over year. EFG Cambodia will continue to hold events promoting their delivery channel.
