EMCAT Pledges to Reduce Plastic in All Airport Outlets

September 17th, 2019 Phnom Penh – EMCAT Cambodia joined hands with Cambodia Airports for a campaign aimed at reducing plastic use and signed a memorandum promising that each EMCAT outlet will engage in eco-friendlier operations.

EMCAT plans to stop providing customers with plastic bags, glasses and straws and remove all single-use plastics from onsite meals. Some outlets have already made the switch to paper straws with signs to notify customers. Other EMCAT signs highlight the harm that plastic causes.

As part of their overall strategy to become eco-friendlier, EMCAT is reviewing their outlets’ business practices in order to minimize or eliminate plastic and will provide monthly statistics on waste categories and quantities.

EMCAT is fully committed to reducing plastics with a special focus on single-use plastics.
