EFG Cambodia Nears 100% Vaccination Rate

Phnom Penh, June 30th, 2021 – As of end June , EFG Cambodia staff are now almost 100% fully vaccinated. EFG are indebted to their staff for following through and getting their vaccinations at every opportunity. Some staff in the provinces are still due for their shots as the Governments rolls out vaccines around the country.

Staff continue to practice essential safety protocols by social distancing, frequent washing of hands and using disinfectants, mask wearing and doing daily temperature checks. The message remains to be vigilant at all times.
EFG continues to provide free masks and hand sanitizers to all staff.

The Pizza Company Lao Delivers 423 Pizzas to Mascot International

Vientiane, June 26th, 2021 – TPC delivered 423 pizzas to Mascot International, a local garment factory in Vientiane. The lunch was organized to celebrate employee performance, for 1,600 staff members.

Hundreds of piping hot pizzas were delivered by HungryApp drivers. Mascot International employees were happy with the food and service. We hope to receive more B2B orders from them and other organizations.

The Pizza Company Relocation at Aeon Mall Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh, June 19th, 2021 – EFG Cambodia celebrated a relocation ceremony for the The Pizza Company at Aeon Mall. The store has moved from its ground floor location to a roomier premises on the second floor. The ribbon cutting ceremony was performed by Tep Virak, General Manager EFG Cambodia and Keiichiro Kakuhari, Representative from AEON Mall Management.

The new store provides a relaxed dining environment incorporating an all new floorplan design and large picture windows to create a spacious new dining area. To inaugurate the new premises Not only did the new store in itself attract many curious patrons to take a break and enjoy the new surroundings but The Pizza Company also ran special offers to celebrate the new store opening.

EFG Day

Phnom Penh, June 1st, 2021 – The 8th annual EFG Day was held on this day after being moved from its regular May 1st slot due to Covid lockdown in Cambodia. It has now become a well established tradition that management and office staff don aprons and uniforms and spend a day in one of EFG Cambodia’s stores. They work as chefs, cleaners, cashiers, baristas, servers or deliverymen.

Martin Darby, Managing Director of EFG Holdings doubled up as server in Krispy Kreme, The Coffee Club and as a Hungry App deliveryman sporting the recognizable bright green uniform. Tep Virak, General Manager of EFG Cambodia took up the role as barista preparing some EFG Day of Cambodia’s best coffee at The Coffee Club and as a server at Swensen’s. HR, admin, finance and other back office staff took up various positions at The Pizza Company, Dairy Queen, Krispy Kreme and Swensen’s.

Martin commented on EFG Day “All our EFG office staff came to work inside the stores today to get a taste of frontline operations. Every time it is a rewarding and different experience. We like to remind all our EFG staff that everyone’s role counts and contributes directly to our daily sales and annual revenue. We believe strongly that to grow together we have to understand each other’s jobs, and their challenges, so that we can work together and find solutions to grow the business for the benefit of all.

Currently, EFG Day takes place only in Cambodia and plans are underway to introduce EFG Day to Laos and Myanmar as well.
