While Cambodia is in the midst of a COVID-19 wave, Phnom Penh’s cyclo taxi drivers, already hit hard by the lack of tourism, are coming under even more pressure as far fewer locals take the streets and the nightly curfew further reduces their operating hours.

HungryApp and Krispy Kreme Cambodia decided to get together to run a donation drive to lend a helping hand. They
collected donations of basic food items as well as as toiletry kits and delivered these by Hungry App delivery to cyclo taxi drivers around the city.

In the spirit of Khmere New Year, the food and parcels were handed out in a one day blitz together with a selection of
freshly baked Krispy Kreme donuts as an added treat.

Phnom Penh, April 13th, 2021 – To support the government in the fight against COVID-19, The Coffee Club Cambodia donated 160 lunch boxes to the Tracing Subcommittee at Koh Pich City Hall. This subcommittee team is dedicated to contact tracing of COVID-19 patients and works day and night to counteract the spread of the deadly virus by overseeing all contact tracing platforms.

The donation handover was presented by Buntheng Tang, Marketing Executive, The Coffee Club Cambodia.

Phnom Penh, April 12th, 2021 – The Pizza Company, Krispy Kreme and Dairy Queen together held a donation activity to support the medical staff at Union Youth Federation of Cambodia (UYFC) delivering the COVID vaccines to patients in Koh Pich. 50 Dairy Queen hot dogs, 60 Krispy Kreme doughnuts and 50 The Pizza Company pizzas were donated to working medical staff in appreciation of their hard work and contributions to fighting the pandemic.

EFG handing over donations were:

• The Pizza Company, represented by Ratana Pen, Senior Marketing Manager of EFG Cambodia
• Dairy Queen, represented by Mao Chhaya, Marketing Executive of DQ Cambodia and Heng Bunheang, Area Coach of DQ Cambodia.
• Krispy Kreme represented by Pasary Sman, Area Coach of Krispy Kreme Cambodia.
