Phnom Pehn, 03 December 2022 – EFG (Express Food Group) Co. Ltd., has recently partnered with Habitat for Humanity Cambodia and an international school in Cambodia to organize “Partnership Build for Community”, a one-day event held last December 3, 2022 that aims to provide decent and affordable housing through volunteerism.
The Partnership Build for Community which coincides with the annually celebrated International Volunteers Day was held at Svay Chek Thmey, a community in Phnom Penh specially recommended by the Khan Prek Phnov authorities as a vulnerable community. EFG volunteered more than 30 participants from across its corporate functions, employees from The Pizza Company, Dairy Queen, and Krispy Kreme stores, and delivery riders from Hungry? app, who came together dedicating their time and effort for a new house construction, house painting, and hygiene and sanitation demonstration for the benefit of the community residents.
EFG as a leading food group operator in the region recognizes the importance of food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene so it also lent its expertise by demonstrating proper handwashing to the kids living in the community under the guidance of its Quality Assurance (QA) experts.
“We recognize Habitat for Humanity Cambodia in its mission to deliver positive change in the country by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope for vulnerable families and EFG is a committed partner for many years in supporting initiatives that help build resilient and sustainable communities”, says Mr. Virak Tep, General Manager of EFG Cambodia.
